Comments about Dorman - Help Window Guides:

These fixed the front windows on a 82 Caprice! I had 2 left over I assume would do the 2 rear windows. Easy to install, no need to remove the door panel! Knock the old ones out of the channel if they are there and clip these in. Make sure you lube all the rubber and clean the window and its runs well!

You will need to remove the complete window regulator and drill out the rivet that holds the guide in place so that you do not break the glass trying to drill it out while its still in the door. Tape or block window to door frame in fully up position. Remove the regulator to door inner panel rivets using a drill. If equipped with power locks, remove the lock-to-actuator inner panel rivets. Remove the lock actuator. Remove the regulator guide and block assembly from the lower sash by positioning the window halfway down, and pushing the regulator forward. After removal, tape the glass in the fully up position again. Detach the electrical connector, then remove the regulator through the access hole. For any further assistance, please visit your nearest Advance Auto store or call us directly at 1-877-ADVANCE (238-2623) and one of our representatives there would be more than happy to assist you.
