What's new about coupon combining?
All members can combine up to $100 in Rewards in our mobile app. Only one Reward can be used per transaction.

What happens to points or coupons from returned items?
When you return a purchase, the points you earned for the purchase will be deducted from your Advance Rewards point balance.
Example: As a 1st Gear member, you purchased a $100 part on Monday and earned 500 points. On Wednesday, you returned the item. Once the return is processed, those 500 points earned from Monday's order will be deducted from your Advance Rewards balance. This may result in a negative point balance depending on the other points in your account at the time of the return on Wednesday.
Will members keep their tier status?
What happened to Perks Bucks?
The coupon name has changed from Perks Bucks to Rewards, but redemption rules remain the same.
When do I receive my Rewards?
We keep track of all points and will automatically issue your $5 Reward as soon as you reach 500 points. If you reach 1,000 points, you will receive $10 Rewards. Your Rewards will be uploaded to your account within 3 days of your qualifying transaction, and you will be notified via email.
If I earn Rewards, can they be redeemed at a different store?
You can redeem them in any store in the country or online. Also, you will earn points from purchases both in store and online.
Why do I have a negative point balance on my Advance Rewards dashboard?
As described above, when you make a return the points you earned for that purchase are subtracted from your existing point balance found on your dashboard. If the number of points subtracted due to the returned product exceeds your existing point balance, then you will see a negative balance. Any Rewards earned are NOT affected, these rewards are yours to use as outlined. Advance Rewards points earned on future eligible purchases will be applied to the negative balance first.
Example: If you earned 500 points from your purchase, these points were added to your existing point balance you see on your Advance Rewards dashboard. If you make the return after receiving the points, the 500 points you earned from the purchase will be subtracted from your existing point balance. If your existing point balance at the time of the return was below 500, this would result in a negative point balance on your dashboard.
How do I keep track of all my transactions for warranties?
You now need to have an account on shop.advanceautoparts.com in order to see your in store or online transactions. If you already have an account on shop.advanceautoparts.com, log in and link your Advance Rewards account by providing the phone number. If you don't have an account on shop.advanceautoparts.com, you can create one and link your Advance Rewards account by entering the phone number you used for membership registration.
Can I use my Rewards on anything I want?
Rewards can be redeemed on purchases $0.01 over the coupon amount. You can use your Rewards on most products in store or online at Advance Auto Parts. Excluded products and services include factory direct orders, special orders, core deposits, gift cards, rental of loaner tools, shipping and handling, taxes or other government fees or charges. Coupons expire 90 days from date of issue, so don't forget to use them!
Is every Advance Auto Parts and Carquest store Participating?
All Advance Auto Parts stores in the United States and Puerto Rico participate in the Advance Rewards program. Most Carquest stores participate in the program and the list keeps expanding. We recommend you contact the store in question for the latest information.
How long do I keep my status (1st Gear, 2nd Gear, Top Gear)?
Your status is achieved based on calendar year cumulative purchases. Whenever your maximum level is achieved, you remain at that level for the balance of the calendar year AND the next calendar year.
Example – Between January and March 17, 2026, you made $1,032 in purchases. As of March 18, you will be a Top Gear Member. You will enjoy Top Gear level benefits for the rest of 2026 and 2027.
Is there a way for me to receive points other than 5 points for every dollar spent?

Welcome to the Advance Rewards Program (the "Program") — our way of saying thanks for keeping your ride road-ready. The Program and these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are determined solely by the entity operating the Program, Advance Stores Company, Incorporated ("Advance"), in its sole discretion. These Terms govern your participation in the Program. By enrolling or earning rewards, you agree to these Terms. The Terms may be updated from time to time without advance notice. Updates to these terms are available at the Advance Auto Parts website (shop.advanceautoparts.com).
The Program is built for drivers who go the extra mile. It's a tiered loyalty system with three levels of benefits.
Account Eligibility and Restrictions: This Program is only available to Do-It-Yourself customers of participating Advance Auto Parts or Carquest stores and our online store (shop.advanceautoparts.com); it is not available to customers with a commercial account or those enrolled in Advance Pro. There is no membership fee. No purchase is necessary to apply. Only retail and online individual consumers of Advance that are above the age of eighteen (18) and located within the United States or Puerto Rico may enroll and be accepted in the Program ("Qualified Customers").
Qualified Customers who have completed enrollment are members of the Program ("Members"). These terms apply to all Qualified Customers who have enrolled in the Program through one or more designated means provided by Advance.
Advance reserves the right to limit the number of Members and geographic locations in the Program. Advance reserves the right to terminate membership, void rewards, turn over information to government authorities as requested or pursuant to legal process or take any other action available under law because of any inappropriate or suspicious activity by Members, any Program design issue, or any other reason at all (including no reason). All issues, questions, or disputes regarding eligibility shall be resolved by Advance in its sole discretion.
As further described below, rewards and important notifications are delivered by email or by text if Member consents, or at checkout on www.advanceautoparts.com. By signing up to receive rewards or other benefits from the Program, you agree to receive advertising, marketing materials, and other communication from Advance, its subsidiaries, and carefully selected marketing partners pursuant to the Advance Privacy Policy. It is the sole responsibility of the Member to provide the correct email address and/or mobile phone number and any updates. Advance is not responsible for any rewards or notifications that are not delivered for any reason, including but not limited to any of the following: the failure to provide a correct email address/mobile number; the failure to notify Advance of email address/mobile number changes; the failure to assure that Advance is not blocked as a sender of emails or texts through the respective Internet service or wireless provider; delivery to a spam folder; any technological difficulties including but not limited to viruses, firewall issues, spyware protection, or other complications including errors or omissions by Advance. In the event that you provide an incorrect email address or mobile phone number or you do not receive the Reward for any reason, regardless of the party at fault, the reward will not be reissued.
1st Gear
Qualification: Enrolling in the Program
Points Earned: 5 points for every $1 spent in Qualifying Purchases.

2nd Gear
Qualification: Spend $500 in Qualifying Purchases during the immediately preceding calendar year (January-December).
Points Earned: 8 points for every $1 you spend on Eligible Purchases

Top Gear
Qualification: Spend $1,000 in Qualifying Purchases during the immediately preceding calendar year (January-December).
Points Earned: 10 points for every $1 you spend on Qualifying Purchases.

Determination of Tier: Members qualify for tiered benefits based on the Member's Qualifying Purchases within the calendar year. Qualifying Purchases are purchases that have been settled and fulfilled excluding: rental fees, warranties, factory direct orders, protection plans, shipping and handling, delivery, surcharges, sales and use tax, purchase of Advance Gift Cards or third-party Gift Cards, returns, purchases or transactions made with Advance Rewards, or other promotional items (such as free items). The higher the Qualifying Purchases, the higher the Tier the Member is placed in. Tier may determine the Rate at which Points are accumulated, the Conversion Threshold, how Points and Rewards are treated or carried over year-to-year, and additional Tier-specific benefits.
The benefits of the higher Tier are immediately available upon reaching the relevant spending threshold. Members are not notified, however, of Tier elevation for at least 30 days after reaching the relevant spending threshold.
Tier Carryover: The highest Tier achieved by the Member in any calendar year will carry over into the following year. Such carried-over Tier must be supported by Qualifying Purchases at least equal to that Tier's minimum spending threshold. If the threshold is not met, the Member will be placed in the highest Tier for which the annual spending qualifies for the following year.
Points Carryover: Member's Tier determines whether unconverted Points expire annually or carry over to the following year. For Members in the 2nd or Top Gear Tiers, points that have not converted to Rewards will roll over to the following calendar year. For Members at the 1st Gear Tier, unconverted Points expire at the end of the year.
Returns: For points earned related to a purchase, the points earned for such purchase will be decremented in proportion to the product that is returned. Due to timing, points totals may become negative balances depending on when returns occur. With respect to coupons redeemed on a purchase that is later returned, Advance may, in its sole discretion, reissue the coupon.
Accumulation of Points: All Rewards are earned in the form of coupons and are based on the accumulation of Points per tier provided above. After reaching a specified number of points ("Conversion Threshold"), Points are converted into a Reward of a certain dollar amount. Any points above the Conversion Threshold remain in the Member's account, subject to calendar limitations, detailed below.
Except as otherwise provided below and elsewhere in these Terms, purchase of products and services qualify for Points regardless of whether regularly priced or marked as on sale or clearance. To the extent Member makes a purchase where the membership in the Program was not applied, Member can log receipt online or in the Advance app to receive points for such purchase. Points are NOT granted for purchase of gift cards or payment associated with core deposits, rental of loan tools and factory direct orders.
Points are accrued on an annual basis. Expiration and carryover of Points across years is determined by the Members Tier (see above).
Points awarded on any merchandise that is subsequently returned shall not count towards the Conversion Threshold. Similarly, dollar amounts spent on any merchandise that is subsequently returned shall not count towards the next tier.
Redeeming Rewards: Rewards are automatically issued to Member in pre-determined denominations after Points are accumulated beyond the Conversion Threshold. Members will receive notice of the Rewards approximately 2 to 3 business days after the qualifying purchase via email.
Rewards are subject to the following restrictions:
Combining Coupons: Each coupon reward is a discrete coupon redeemable at its face value only. Coupon Rewards may be combined subject to the Member's tier above. Coupon Rewards must be presented at the time of purchase/redemption. Coupon Rewards can only be redeemed for a purchase (excluding sales tax) equal to or greater than the face value of the Coupon Reward, or combined Coupon Rewards.
Excluded Products and Services: Coupon Rewards may be used to purchase any item (except where restricted) of any price with the following exceptions. Rewards may NOT be attributed to the cost of or use to purchase:
Expiration of Rewards: Regardless of the Member's tier, Rewards expire on the earlier of (i) 90 days from the date of issuance (ii) as otherwise provided in the reward email or other communication by Advance and will not be reissued (nor will points be refunded) or (iii) as otherwise determined by Advance in its sole discretion. See Reward Email or text for further details.
No Cash Value: Rewards, including all other reward types, have no cash value, are non-negotiable, are not escheatable, and cannot be redeemed either in whole or part for cash. They do not constitute property of any Member or other person and may not be brokered, bartered, attached, pledged, sold, auctioned, or sold or disposed of for consideration, or in any manner otherwise received or used in violation of the terms and conditions herein.
Sweepstakes: For applicable sweepstakes terms and conditions, visit shop.advanceautoparts.com or the website of that particular sweepstakes promotion.
Bonus Point Promotions: Advance may enable Bonus Point Promotions for Members. Bonus Points are issued in addition to points received from the purchase of products and services. Once points are accumulated to the applicable conversion threshold, one or more rewards are automatically issued to the member in pre-determined denominations. Points are accrued on an annual basis. Expiration and carryover of Points across years is determined by Member's Tier (see below). For one-time use promotions, one-time point grant is promotion point limit per person.
Additional Rewards: Advance may also, at its sole discretion, provide additional rewards in connection with certain transactions, referrals, events and/or promotions and at certain Tiers.
Members may cancel participation in the Program a at any time by sending an email to Advance Rewards at AdvanceRewards@advance-auto.com and an Advance Rewards representative will assist you with your request. If you cancel your membership, your account access will be terminated, and you will lose access to any stored information in your account. Any accumulated Rewards and points will be cancelled.
Any Member account with no qualifying purchases for a period of one year or longer may be deemed inactive, and the Member account may be deleted, terminated, or suspended, in Advance's sole discretion, which will result in cancellation of all Rewards and points are cancelled. Advance, in its sole discretion and without prior notice to Member, may change (a) the reward structure earned by the Member, (b) the expiration date, (c) the frequency, types of prizes, or other provisions related to any sweepstakes, except as prohibited by law, or (d) cancel, temporarily suspend, or otherwise modify the Program, even it if adversely affects Members.
Membership in the Program may be revoked at any time. Any abuse of the Program, failure to follow any terms of the Program, or any misrepresentation may subject Member to termination of membership and will affect eligibility for further participation in the Program. Further, Advance reserves the right to seek all remedies, whether available at law or in equity, criminal or civil, in the event Member abuses the Program or Rewards, fails to follow any Terms, or makes any misrepresentation to Advance.
Program purchases, as reflected in Advance records, shall be deemed the correct and controlling version for all purposes. By participating in the Program, you agree to be bound by Advance's decisions with respect to qualification for any transaction, reward given, or limitations and exclusions applied. You agree that such decisions are controlling and final. In the event a Member returns the qualifying purchase prior to the issuance of a reward, Advance reserves the right to withhold the issuance of the reward and/or cancel reward as well as make any other equitable adjustments Advance deems necessary in its sole discretion.
The Program does not create any property rights in any of the discounts or otherwise and is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of laws and principles.
Program rules are void only to the extent prohibited by law. Taxes on any rewards may apply where required by law and are the sole responsibility of the Member. Certain promotions or other prizes may, however, be provided by other vendors ("Reward Partners").
Advance reserves the right to cancel, modify, or restrict any aspect of the Program at any time with or without notice. Your continued enrollment in the Program constitutes your consent to and acceptance of any changes to these Terms and Conditions. It is your responsibility to be aware of and understand any changes to the Program. The most current version of the Terms and Conditions will be available on shop.advanceautoparts.com and will supersede all prior versions of these Terms and Conditions.
By participating in the Program and receiving its benefits, you consent to Advance's collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information (such as name, email address, phone number, mailing address, online activity, and transaction history) in accordance with our Privacy Policy. This information may be used for purposes described in the Privacy Policy, including verifying your identity, providing products and services, communicating with you, and marketing. Participation is voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time. By participating in the SMS program, you agree to the SMS Messaging Terms.
Limitation of Liability: Advance is not responsible for: incorrect or inaccurate transcription of information; problems related to any of the equipment or programming associated with the Program or utilized by the Member; any human error; any interruption, deletion, omission, defect, intercept or line failure of any telephone network or electronic transmission; problems relating to computer equipment, software, virus, inability to access the Website or online service; or any other technical or nontechnical error or malfunction whether caused by human error, act of God, or otherwise. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, NEGLIGENCE, SHALL ADVANCE, ANY AFFILIATE, EMPLOYEE, REWARD PARTNER, VENDOR OR ANY OTHER PARTY ASSOCIATED WITH THE PROGRAM BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE PROGRAM OR MERCHANDISE OFFERED THROUGH THE PROGRAM, EVEN IF ANY OR ALL OF THE FOREGOING OR ANY OF THEIR AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVES HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES OR SUCH DAMAGES WERE FORESEEABLE. IF ADVANCE IMPROPERLY DENIES AN ENROLLEE OR MEMBER ANY REWARDS OR PRIZES, LIABILITY WILL BE LIMITED TO THE REWARD OR PRIZE VALUE. BY PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM, A MEMBER WAIVES ANY AND ALL RIGHTS TO BRING ANY CLAIM OR ACTION RELATED TO SUCH MATTERS IN ANY FORUM BEYOND ONE (1) YEAR AFTER THE FIRST OCCURRENCE OF THE KIND OF ACT, EVENT, CONDITION, OR OMISSION UPON WHICH THE CLAIM OR ACTION IS BASED. Advance, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, shareholders, successors, assigns, and service providers are not responsible for any products or services offered by Reward Partners. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWABLE BY LAW, ADVANCE AND ITS AFFILIATES SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM ANY REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE PRODUCTS AND/OR SERVICES OFFERED BY ANY REWARD PARTNER OR VENDOR OR SUPPLIER, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE. The limitations of liability set forth in these Terms do not apply to residents of some jurisdictions or those of the State of New Jersey where such limitations are not permitted. Instead, the scope and duration shall be the minimum permitted under applicable law in those jurisdictions. Program participants agree to rely solely on the manufacturer's warranties, if any, for any products redeemed or purchased through this Program.
Dispute Resolution: As a further condition of participating in this Program or seeking to participate in this Program, you understand and agree that you are waiving and thereby limiting your right to other available dispute resolution processes such as court action to settle any disputes or claims and instead agree that: (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Program, or any rewards or offers obtained through the Program, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action or as a private attorney general or on a collective basis and exclusively by arbitration under the International Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association; such arbitration to take place in Richmond, Virginia; (2) any and all claims, judgments, and rewards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with participating in this Program, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (3) under no circumstances will Member be permitted to seek recovery for, and Member hereby specifically waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental and/or consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and waives any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.

Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between Program Members, former Members, or individuals seeking membership (whether or not accepted or denied) and Advance pertaining to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior or other arrangements, understandings, negotiations and discussions, whether oral or written. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be severed from the remainder of these Terms, which will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
