The hinge repair works well and is much less $$ than a replacement from the dealer. This part is to replace the center console hinge when it breaks off the lid side of the unit. You will need to keep the metal rod and two springs to make this work. The instructions are ok, but do not have very good photos. Also more of the console lid has to be cut to fit the new hinge than is described in the instructions.
