Father's Day is just around the corner and it's our time to reflect on all our dads have done to help mold us to who we are today. Courtney Force, Advance Auto Parts NHRA Funny Car driver, knows all about the positive influence dads can have, as her father John has been an idol to her and encouraged her driving career.
Growing up with driving legend John Force had an incredible influence on Courtney and her sisters. Seeing their dad on the track, defeating his competitors time and time again gave the Force girls the push they needed to join the game. Their history in the pits did wonders, too. "From the time they were little bitty kids, they were in the pits wiping down tires and cleaning windshields. They have always loved [racing] and it has been our way of life," John told Parade.
Outside of the racing world, Advance Auto Parts talked to team members about their dads and got some great stories on the positive role models they've been.
