Muffler assembly 54295
This muffler did not fit correctly for my 2000 Nissan Maxima SE Manufacture date 6/99. I gave my vin number and it stated that this muffler fix my Maxima. The pipe is actually resting on the underneath of the car which makes it rattle when pressing on the gas pedal. I did not drive the car only started it up to here the rattle noise. Very disappointed, maybe mine is defective as the pipe is just not bent correctly. I'll be calling Advance Auto tomorrow to see what we can do about this problem. Price was great... but I guess you get what you pay for.

dont buy
Like other reviewer said, the muffler hits the under side of the car and rattles unless tied back to something. Also, rusted out after only 4 years. Do yourself a favor and buy a different muffler.

Two big rust holes!!!!
My car was getting that exhaust leak sound. I expected it to be anything but the muffler because I had replaced it. I am shocked that a stainless steel muffler could rust out. This thing has actual holes in it. Junk!!!!

Exact fit for my 2000 Nissan Maxima. Since the flange on the preceding exhaust pipe was rusted off, I cut the flange off the muffler pipe and used a flexible exhaust pipe (repair kit) 2"ID to join the pipes.
