Worked good
Stainless steel muffler

So far so good, the old ones rusted through where the intermediate pipe is connected. The new one is stainless steel so hopefully should last longer.
Less than 65dB at idle at mufflers

Specific to the 2007 Impala SS - These are significantly quieter than the stock mufflers (less than 65dB when between the mufflers) and provide backpressure to the motor that smooths out acceleration and shifting. Pipe extensions are required to reach, and some grinding/welding is necessary to get them to fit onto the bend in the exhaust pipe (a guy posted a video installing these on an LTZ that is well done). The stock mufflers seemed not to have baffles, and then split on top to boot, so the resonance under the car was obnoxious (to me). The car is so quiet after installation (even revved) that the engine and front wheel tread noise is louder (bear this in mind if you like the engine rumble, because you will not get it!). Final note… save your exhaust pipe tips for reuse!
Nice quiet mufflers and at the right price
