Walker Exhaust Pipe

After one year and just over 10 months the flex area cracked as experienced by other reviewers. The braid was systematically deteriorating along both sides with no evidence of damage from rocks, bottoming out, or otherwise. All other parts are holding up well; I replaced everything but the muffler (which was still in good shape) with Walker parts. I did have to use Permatex Ultra Copper gasket maker to seal the gasket between this exhaust pipe and the Walker catalytic converter as the did not seal well enough. The original exhaust pipe for which this was a replacement had broken off at the engine. Fortunately this failure is not as critical. Frankly I may just buy the part again since the price is so low with coupons and the install is easy.

Exact same experience as a previous reviewer. The flex area cracks and leaks prematurely. I got about a year and 10 months before the flex area cracked and leaked. I first noticed the mesh around the flex bellows rusted quickly and fell off. The flex pipe cracked and resulted in an exhaust leak shortly thereafter. If you just need a quick replacement for a car you'll be selling etc this is a good deal. On the other hand if you don't want to be crawling under the car in a year to replace this piece again I'd definitely try another brand for sure! I will say this exhaust piece is very affordable and bolts right in with a great fit. The flex area just doesn't last long and fails too soon. I replaced the entire exhaust with Walker brand products except for the exhaust manifold and catalytic converter at the same time I installed this flex pipe. The rest of the Walker components are holding up well and have an OEM fit that was a breeze to install. You're fine with any of the Walker solid straight pipes. They'll be easy to install and should last. The flex pipe is the only piece I would not recommend buying if you're looking for a solution that's going to last you more than a year in the midwest etc.

This product fit well and the price was acceptable but its service life was poor and will look to another company for a longer lasting product. I don't enjoy crawling back under this vehicle for an exhaust part that I believe should have lasted longer than 1 year and 8 months.
