New parts make it easier
While this part is a necessary addition to install the muffler ordered the discounts offered through online ordering made it competitively priced and the no charge shipping made it an easy choice. Shipping was quick, arrived when promised, and well packaged. The best was the exact fit so when it came time to install it was just a matter of removing the old and putting the new in place. Overall I am very pleased with the product and shopping experience.

good bolts and springs; defective nuts
The bolts and springs in the kit are fine, but the nuts are defective. Either the thread on the nuts did not exactly match the thread on the bolts or the nuts were not properly hardened.
They threaded all the way onto the bolts just fine by hand, but as soon as even a little force was applied they stripped out. They were not cross threaded or overtightened. Both nuts and one of the bolts in my kit were destroyed.
I ended up using a spare stainless steel nut that I had lying around on the one bolt that was still usable and it worked great.
Bottom line: go to the hardware store and get some quality nuts before attempting to install.

Did the job on my 98 Honda CRV

Used these to connect the exhaust manifold to my new Bosal CAT on my 98 Honda CRV. The original bolts were way rusted and a big pain to get off - finally hammered on special sockets designed for removing rounded bolts and that did it.
However, the original Honda springs were still in great shape and better quality than the springs that came with these bolts. The Honda springs also had flattened ends whereas these did not and slipped a little when tightening. But they did the trick.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

I had bought these thinking they were to connect mid pipe to the cat. That was wrong, since these turned out to connect the mid pip to the muffler. I broke the stock muffler bolts so was lucky to have these.
I think AAP needs to also show replacements bolts for the cat to pipe.

Bought this as part of replacing my muffler. It was a good thing because I had to snap the old bolts off. They did fit, but with extream dificulty. I checked the threads and they were the same size as the ones taken out, so not quite sure why they went in hard. Thats why I gave them a lower score.
