Works for my '99 Camry CE
My OEM pipe (which had been replaced once, under factory guarantee) had developed the same problem the first pipe had where the flex pipe portion was leaking. I decided it was easier to replace than attempt to fix/have it fixed. I was able to order this and pick it up the same day. I've only been driving around with it for a couple of weeks, but so far so good - it was relatively easy to install (though I recommend having an assistant to help line everything up, if possible. I was able to do it on my own, but it required some contortion). The car sounds much better now. I'm hoping to get at least 3 years out of it, but I guess we'll see.

The catalytic converter was going bad on my '99 Toyota Camry 2.2l so I swapped out the old pipe with this direct fit replacement part. After cutting off the old bolts joining this to the resonator and picking up a few of those from the Napa down the street, I was good to go. It bolted on easily and with the proper gaskets is quiet as a mouse. No leaks after a few days of driving. No noticeable performance change. This is not a performance part. The gasket near the exhaust manifold wasn't even a year old, but I went ahead and swapped it out while I had it off.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

This is a Federal (EPA) compliant part, legal for use on vehicles built to meet Federal EPA standards ONLY. It is NOT legal for installation on vehicles required to meet CARB standards and/or registered in California and other states following CARB standards.
Is the oxygen sensor supposed to go into this pipe somewhere? If so, does it have an opening for the oxygen sensor?

It includes the entire pipe - the front bolts onto the exhaust manifold and
the back bolts onto the resonator pipe - pretty easy install. The flex pipe
is what started leaking on mine, which is why I had to replace.

hanger, converter and then flange to the muffler pipe. Mine fit perfectly,
Needed some new nuts and bolts for the flange to the muffler pipe, the
converter cooked them and they weren't reusable.

on the end by the converter, there is a two bolt flange. Can you tell me the distance center to center between the two bolt holes on the flange.

Does this catalytic converter come with the bolts needed to install it? If not what bolts should I use?

Hi John, I'm glad to assist you! This Walker Converter - Part No. 55537 does not include the required bolts to install. Since this is a direct fit converter, you should reuse the stock bolts. Currently, the exact mounting bolts for this converter is unavailable online. I recommend you to check your local stores, if your stock bolts are worn out.
