Well Priced for Service Life
Attended a Cummins Plant tour for my 6.7. years ago. Engineers described their findings regarding oil and oil filter tests. Based on their recommendations and demonstrations I only use Valvoline Premium Blue in my Diesel. Towing 12k,5th wheel all over the country and Alaska I have never experienced a loss of pressure due to high engine heat in mountains or high speeds on the prairies. Lab samples of drained oil has not shown any unusual wear in the engine. Those results alone will keep me loyal to the brand for this vehicle.

Warranty?
Don't see a warranty statement anywhere on the site. If I recall correctly it it used to be 3,000 miles IF you enrolled in some program. That was a few years back, not 1980. If the warranty hasn't changed it's good for about half the oil change interval of many modern vehicles. Doesn't sound like the company is confident inuu the product. Why should the customer risk it? Any reply is just words without a written statement. I have used it and seemingly nothing bad happened so a couple stars.

How much oil and what weight do i use in my 6.6 Duramax Diesel?

The recommended viscosities are 15W-40 or 5W-40 based on the climate that you are operating the engine in. We would always recommend checking the owner's manual or consulting your local dealer to ensure you use the correct viscosity grade.

We only offer this one Premium Blue product in the 5W-40 viscosity grade and the part number for gallons is 774038.
Is this oil same as SAE40 oil?
