Effectively removes clear coat scratches
Driving around NY, getting cut off is nothing new. The other day, I was cut off by a cab and scraped up the front left side of my bumper. I applied this rubbing compound on an applicator pad and it took off all the clear coat scratches. I followed up with some 3M Glaze and the area looked even better than the rest of the car! If the scratch is through the clear coat this won't work! Nothing can repair a deep paint scratch aside from a respray. The other reviewer who says this doesn't work doesn't know what he's talking about! This stuff works and is priced right.

Doesn't work on windshields
Do not get this if you intend to remove some fine scratches from your windshield. It cleared it up a bit but there was no noticeable results, all it did was make it slightly shinier. Do not buy this if you tend to use it to buff out scratches on a windshield

My car was hit in a parking lot by someone which it left multiple black/gray streaks across my red bumper. I thought all was lost until I found this stuff. After a bit of elbow grease all the paint transfer is gone and the small light scratches are gone. There as about a 2 foot by 1 foot area that had marks and I only used about a quarter of the container. Don't expect to just put this stuff on and everything to dissapear, it takes quite a bit of moderate rubbing but it will come out snd it won't damage your paint.
