Each Strongarm lift support is custom engineered, and manufactured beyond industry standards to provide smoother operating, and longer lasting performance. Lift supports should be replaced in pairs to ensure safe, reliable support of your hood, hatch, or liftgate.

I would buy this product again
Bought a pair of these for a 2002 and a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee hood installation. Installed in about 15 minutes per vehicle. Supports look well built, beefier than the OEM units I removed and hoping they last longer. I was impressed enough with them when I opened the package after it arrived at home, I ordered another pair and picked them up at the store a few weeks later. Now I don't need a board to keep the hood open on my Jeeps.

Just a standard lift support, but these do not fit the Mazda6 hatch backs. I didn't think about it when ordering, but when I received them, I knew they were way short. These are made to fit the trunk lids only. [...]

The previous lift supports would only raise the hood to about mid-forehead level. I only needed to replace one of the two supports to get it working full range.
