DO NOT BUY
This engine is rebuilt by Spartan Engines and they do not stand by their product. The first one had a faulty head gasket and it took them over a week to allow the shop to replace it. Next, the engine ate through timing chains and it always took them over a week to allow the shop to fix it. After dealing with faulty timing chains and their abysmal customer service they dealt with an engine knock every time starting the truck for 40,000 miles. The engine then messed up the crankshaft and it took them over two weeks to decide to send another replacement engine. Now, the replacement engine is having issues with running rough, and knocking at start. The replacement has only 3500 miles on it. It has been over a week and the shop has yet to hear what they are allowed to do. I am now dealing with a truck that could die any day. To top this off, they refuse to pay for a rental during repairs. I have spent over $2,000 in rental fees due to this company.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
