I was getting error codes indicationg faulty hydraulic controls in my transmission. Transmission would sometimes fail to shift into third gear, leaving the engine racing. In my 2001 Honda Odyssey this means you need a new transmission. I changed my transmission fluid and added this product (half a can) and the problem subsided. I repeated this procedure, and the transmission is almost flawless. Check engine light is staying off. Please note: my problem was a Hydraulic Control issue--it was not slipping. This product does not help or harm seals. It does not stop leaks. It removes the sticky varnish that can hinder the operation of solenoids and valves inside your transmission. Well worth the money.

Had a power steering unit on a 97 Mustang which had stiff steering when turning right. After using this product as a last chance effort before flushing and replacing a rack unit, it did not cure the problem. I did not expect it to but a few testimonials on youtube stated it cleaned and cured their problem. It did appear to remove a lot of gum and varnish as the red atf became murky after running the engine for 30 minutes and turning lock to lock every 5 mins. It's worth a try but don't expect miracles or a cure all when a unit may be defective.
