Works great and lasts!
This product works great if you follow the directions. Make sure to peel both sides of the bandage as you go around with the repair. Also make sure that there is no strain on the part that you are preparing. If you follow those two rules, it will do the job. Follow up with some bailing wire to keep it on while it seals. I have repairs that have lasted for a couple of years and passed state inspection.

1000 miles and still holding

Used the Permatex Muffler and Tailpipe Putty and then this bandage to keep it in place. leak was where factory hanger weld broke thru (but not off) on pipe with converter. 1000 miles and still holding! Next time I would use a piece of string or tape and practice wrapping first, as I ran out of length a bit faster than expected.
I would buy this again if needed

Will this work on a hole in the flex pipe?

Thank you for contacting us! No, it will not work. Permatex does not produce an exhaust sealer for the flex pipe portion of any exhaust system. I would recommend that you check with the nearest Advance store and one of our parts pros will be glad to assist you with an alternate availability.
