This works good, take time to practice, only use the guide as a rough reference to color - actually sit in car to color match, main thing make sure end of heating iron is screwed on good. It says to tape it in place - but tape won't stick to it (I tried Duct tape)- it does cool fast so you won't have to hold it long. Best part if it doesn't look right you can redo it.

Don't waste your time
I put on the filler and it bubbled up and I cut it off and re applied it did it again.After many lite aplications I used the color compound after 3 tries with the heat iron and giving it different time up to 3 min the last time I was able to wipe it all off with a dry rag after it cooled.Don't waste your time.

Worked Well On Dashboard Crack

Had an 1" by .5" peel off of the vinyl on the dash in a very visible spot caused by child kicking dash. Recommend that you be very patient when doing the repair and don't rush it will improve the outcome. Suggest you bring a porcelain cup or plate to the car to rest the heating element on when not using it. It does get very hot but is very effective. To get best aligatoring effect it may take several attempts and reheating by layering coatings. Follow their directions and don't put to much on the crack, best to build up layers until you are satisfied that it is flush and well blended. I lucked out that the dash was black so the color blended in very well. You still can slightly see that a repair has been made if you look at it closely but most people will not notice it. Overall it did a very good repair and was easy to do as DIY.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Used on my 2007 avalanche dash. The adhesive and filler had a chemical reaction with the dash and made it 10 times worse. Had to buy a dashcover for it

When you try to match your color, use very little of the colors suggested. You may need to add more of this color, then more of that color, back and forth. Also, make your color darker than you need. My color (brown) dried lighter.
