Permatex always makes good stuff
This stuff seals threads against fluid leakage, but will not secure fasteners like thread locker. It also does not set up hard like thread locker, but more of a softer gummy-like texture or like moist powder. There is plenty in the tube to do several medium sized fasteners. I used it on Chevy 350 head bolts, which are 7/16" and there are 17 per head and I still had some left in the first tube even after applying it to about 4-5 threads per bolt. The only con I could think of is that you apply this by hand and it can get mildly messy. Nothing any real man minds and nothing a quick wipe of a rag can't fix.

DO NOT BUY!!!! GARBAGE!
Permatex you failed with this sealer. What a mistake. Applied to all brand new exceptionally clean threads on a new engine, and it simply never cured. I kneaded the tub as directed applied the product, and several weeks later still waiting for it to cure. Still "wet". I have read several others who have experienced this same problem with this crud. I feel sorry for the guy who posted here who used it on his head bolts! I contacted Permatex about this faulty concoction of a poor excuse for a thread sealer. The last thing you need is added stress when assembling an expensive engine, and Permatex has provided that! Never again.

This worked well when reinstalling my LIM bolts. Package size is nice for applying to bolt threads. The product works as advertised.

Thread sealer was to cure in 72 hrs but never did so I had to disassemble and use another product. Waist of money.
