Permatex Anaerobic Gasket Maker is a noncorrosive gasketing material designed primarily for use on aluminum, iron, and steel flanged mating surfaces. Ideal for on-the-spot and emergency repairs, or when a conventional gasket is unavailable. Fills gaps up to .015? and cures to a solvent-resistant seal that will not tear or decay during service. Parts disassemble easily even after extended service.

Best RTV Ever made
This is the best gasket sealant money can buy. It's not goopy, it doesn't seep, it doesn't take up so much room that it deforms the gasket when tightened, it isn't impossible to clean up, IT JUST SEALS! It seals everything, head gaskets, valve cover gaskets, oil pan gaskets, nothing is better. Silicon RTV is junk, if it's not applied perfectly, IE not too much, not too little, in all the right spots it will seal, for a while. Since a master semi-truck mechanic I drag race bikes with told me about it and I tried it, I'll never use RTV again, only anaerobic, it's what all OEMs use now anyway.

Be careful if you are marching up with aluminum you will need per manufacture to spry on a activator

Great for dressing gaskets!
I used a very thin film of this sealant on the water pump and water outlet gaskets on my 1991 300D. Worked great to hold the gaskets in place during assembly and is peace of mind for a perfect seal.

If you have good surfaces use this for your crankcase instead of yamabond or other rtv goop.
