This grease is good for all electrical connections. Good place to use it is on the terminals of trailer lite sockets and plugs. Put a dab on the terminal before connecting the wire. Will save you a bunch of trouble if you do..

i used it when replacing light bulbs. You should add this grease to all bulbs locations to keep moisture out, or you will be replacing plugs.

When I use PERMATEX dielectric grease on my spark plugs do I put it on the threads and coat the whole white top of the plug so it gets inside of the boot? Thanks, Steve

It goes between the spark plug boot and the top of the spark plug. Either put it on the plug or in the boot.

Just a dab of it on the top of the plug on the contact to prevent corrosion and oxidation. Not the porcelain or threads

Typically what I do is coat the contact of the spark plug boot so that the terminal of the spark plug
gets coated. The main purpose of dielectric grease is to prevent corrosion which helps keep good conductivity. If you have trouble getting the spark plug boot down onto the spark plug then use dielectric grease sparingly inside the boot as a sort of lubricant. Kirk

Put a little in the boots before putting the boots on the plugs. DO NOT put any on the threads or anywhere on the plug that enters the engine.

We always just put a little inside the boot, not on the plug. You're just trying to prevent corrosion of the connection, which is the top of the plug. I suppose the excess grease would help prevent it form "sticking" to the plug.

Put a little dab inside the plug wire boot or on the top of the plug. No need to coat the plug. Use a good antu-seize in the plug threads.

Id just put it in the tip of the plug where it actually makes contact with the cables. It helps conductivity and corrosion. No need to put it on the white porcelain.

No, this grease will not impede the flow of current in any way.
It will help keep the contacts clean and corrosion-free.
Additionally it will decrease the likelihood of the bulb becoming
'frozen' in the socket if left in place for extended periods of
time.�� Just clean your contacts and apply a light coat to the
bulb and the socket...
