This is by far the best gasket making material on the market, and it has been since it first came out. It cost more than RTV silicone, but it's worth it. The ability to use it and without waiting hours or a day for it to cure is nice, but the sealing capability is the best part. It's pretty thick compared to RTV silicone, and it's much more tacky. Provided you've properly cleaned the gasket surfaces (as is required for any sealer) of any oil or liquid (brake cleaner works great for this), you'll have a strong seal the first time. It's very forgiving of irregular surfaces as well. I've also used it as a temporary repair for torn air intake hoses, vacuum leaks and even a cracked idle air control valve. One of these temporary fixes was done three years ago on a neighbor's car, and it's still in perfect working order and he'd rather not replace it if it's not leaking. As always, do follow the directions. They're simple, but they exist for a reason.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
A must have in ANY garage!

Have used for years. Nothing I've found better WHEN USED PER INSTRUCTIONS.
Get over the cost...it runs laps around traditional "silicone"
