Hi Bruce, I'm glad to help you! This Permatex Sensor-Safe High-Temp RTV Silicone Gasket (Part # 81422) comes in orange color.

How thick of a bead would you use? Like 1/4in, 1/8in? (6mm, 3mm)? I've heard if you use too much on a valve cover it can break off inside and of course that's not good.

This Permatex Sensor-Safe High-Temp RTV Silicone Gasket (Part No. 81422) cures on exposure to moisture in the air. The product dries tack free in one hour and fully cures in 24 hours. Cure times will vary with temperature, humidity and gap.
