This is a good tool for lubricating grease fittings in tight clearance areas, but with good straight-in access. Perfect for Universal joints that have grease zerk fittings. You can find this product priced 40% lower on the Internet if you can wait for shipment.

Poor Build
I bought this product so I could inject some grease into the Clipless Pedal on my mountain bike. My pedal has a small nipple that this tip was to stick into and be able to squeeze some grease into the bearings. You have to attach the grease gun to the bottom area that has a zerk that is impossible to get to because the casing is covering it and I was only able to get the gun attached by using my bench vise to squeeze the casing up enough to get the gun attached and then when you release the pressure against the spring the gun wants to come off the zerk. When I finally did get some grease to go through this tip the grease was coming out from several points along the mechanism, making a big mess. It is also very difficult to get the tip screwed in because the threads are not very straight or square with the base and if your fingers are greasy at all you can't get enough purchase on the tip to tighten in, so this is another reason why grease is squirting out from various places. It comes with a larger casing for the base to fit over a larger grease gun, but there are no directions and I couldn't figure out how to get it the smaller one off. What a pain!

Overall this is a great product. I use it to grease U-Joints in the drive shaft of a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It has good reach and makes short work of the job.
The way it works is, one end has a "normal" grease fitting that locks into your standard grease gun. I have a little bit of grease squeeze out around this fitting but it holds pretty tight. The other end is a tapered point with a small hole that forces grease into the smaller grease fittings common on U-Joints and air tools and probably a million other applications. I'm not sure what the extra metal collar is for but it seems to function well without it. Comes with everything you need except the grease and the gun.

This device has limited use, that's true. Would you want it if it were not specialized? After all, it does what no regular grease hose can do. It reaches into tight spaces too narrow for standard grease gun tips. I used it on a pistol grip grease gun custom filled with Ultra Copper anti-seize. I was able to reach into my wheel well to lube my polyurethane control arm bushings with the right stuff. It was the only tool combination that would fit past all of the stuff crammed under the hood of my truck.

Right one for U Joints
If you are looking for a tip that fits your grease gun to use on greasable U Joints with the fitting on the cap end then this is it. I read many places that said to use the needle tip - that did not work for me, tip bent and grease mainly came out versus go in. This tip is too big to go inside the fitting but if you unscrew it and take it out, it fits perfectly. Replaced all five drive shaft U Joints with Moog 280 and this did the trick whether on the vehicle or off. Don't forget to the screw the fitting back in after you fill them!
