Too Short
This socket is too short for some of the longer GM (possibly others) sending units. It works with most sensor units for cars that have an oil pressure 'light', but the sending units for an oil pressure 'gauge' are longer. The sending unit is longer than the socket is deep. Makes it useless for removal or installation of some 'Gauge' Sending units.
Socket appears to be good quality, but if you are buying one, check the length of your sending unit first. This tool make come up short for you.
It is 2-1/2" deep, 2-7/8 total length.
It needs to be at least 3/8" deeper.

Does NOT fit 2002 GM genuine oil sensor
Tool looks good enough, supposed to fit, but does in fact not fit over the GM genuine oil pressure sensor for a 2002 Yukon. Too short and too narrow on the inside. Will be returning it.

3160 MILAM RD
Does not work on my 1999 Durango as it's not deep enough.

Too short for 5.3 LS Pressure Switch
Socket did not fit over the pressure switch for a 5.3 LS1 Engine on a 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500. The sensor was just too long and the socket was not deep enough. I attempted to push in the sensor further in the socket but the socket seems to taper and won't allow for the sensor to go any deeper. Don't recommend for this engine.
Perfect fit for my 2008 Silverado 5.3L
My Oil pressure switch/sensor failed. I had a check engine light with the oil pressure gauge pegged at the max (80 psi) after a few minutes it went to zero. This socket was a perfect fit for the sensor and allowed me to remove and install the new one in a very tight space. GM says to remove the intake manifold to replace this sensor but that is totally unnecessary.
