poor quality
Working on ubiquitous Chevy 350: lower tangs slip off spring. Tiny spring that is supposed to keep the tangs tight to the side of the valve spring are no better then a rubber band. angle of tangs don't grab the valve spring coil; they are pointed away from the direction of the "pull" thus contributing the the lack of holding the valve spring.

Complete garbage
Doesn't grip spring very well. Even when it does it's incapable of compressing the spring enough to remove the valve locks. Becomes nearly impossible to turn with very little pressure on the spring, even when tool has been lubricated. Even if this pile of junk was free it would be too expensive because of the time wasted trying to get it to work.

Didn't work

Useless
Tried compressing valve springs on an old tractor. As the center moves down toward the top of the valve spring, it pushes the side legs out forcing one to disengage from the spring.
Completely useless. Will be taking it back tomorrow. Don't waste your time or money.

Not worth the money
Heed caution. You get what you pay for. This tool slips and struggles to snag the springs on my VW Type 4 heads. Would recommend spending the extra $$ for a tool that works.
