I used this to take 1/2 to a gallon of hot transmission fulid out through the dipstick hole, It did wonderful and was able to withstand the heat. I was very happy.

Not Designed for Oil
Attempted to remove motor oil through the dipstick pipe...as it is advertised to do. Followed the instructions and all I got was oil everywhere and frustrated. Initially the adapter for the dipstick hose would not seal sufficiently to pull the oil through the hose. After taping the joint with electrical tape, the vacuum caused the cheap input hose to collapse. It took 90 minutes to pump out two quarts of oil.

You can even clean gear oil out by flushing hot water through the hoses and pump. All it takes.

Bought this to swap gear lube in my car, after being advised that it doesn't do well with thicker oils. I took a chance, and it worked great. It is a little flimsy, so you do have to be careful to avoid a mess, but it was well worth the money.

worked perfectly to siphon bad gas from my boat gas tank. Once started it flows freely without pumping. Hose isn't huge diameter, so it does take a bit to pump 5 gallons of gas, but not bad and very easy. Very good value.
