Did the trick
Rented the tool at my local store which did not fit on my tie rod. Thought maybe because I bought it online from competitor. Went to the store to purchase directly only to find out it still wasn't going to fit. My son just happened to see this tool in an isle. I almost bought the same tool from the online store I bought the part but thought I would have better luck with renting the other kind and using my impact gun to take it off. The only things I can say is you need to make sure you position the tool correctly and tighten it down securely. Also, I wish it was 1/2 inch drive vs 3/8. It took my original tie rod off a car with 217,000 miles on it. Not sure how well it will hold up but it worked for me when I needed it. Definitely impressed.

Item was not in stock wasted my time and money ordering it
After sitting in the parking lot for almost a hour decided to go in and check why it is still not ready for pick up and come to findout the item is aparently missing i am told and when asked to cancel order was told it will be atleast 2 weeks and a week if i wait for the tool to be in stock i asked if there was any local stoes with any i could get tomorrow and got treated like i didnt even ask something nothing but problems with this store. Bought a brand new battery after waiting a hour someone comes out and tells me they cant do a free install thats included because theres one red wire coming off the battery that is aftermarket tried handing me the wrench told them i got my own tools switched it out real quick and got the core charge almost left without the recipt because they forgot to give it back after doing core charge. Would be very satisfying to talk to someone in charrge about many more of the problems i get from this store. Anyway please treat customers with more respect and try not making them feel rushed when spending theyre hard earned money for the wrong or out of stock parts. Oh managed to use something else by the time i would have recieved the part please refund my account because the app does not have a option

Worked great
Used it on a 1994 BMW 325is. The rod ends come with a set of 32mm bolt faces that are pretty easy to clamp on to. But this chassis was rusted together all over the place, which was the reason we were replacing the whole rod. There was no way to get the threads between the inner and outer rod un-siezed. We hammered the tabs on the locking washers out of the way, bolted on this tool nice and tight, and twisted the inner rod off the rack with a long-handled 3/8" racket, easy peasey.
Inner tie rod tool
Worked a lot better than I was expecting. Had to change inner tierods on a 2020 compass. They don't have the flat spots to use the regular style tool and are set far into the subframe so you can't grab them with a pipe wrench unless you remove the lower arm. Figured I'd give this a shot and try to save some time. This tool worked great. Because of the design and space limitation your only able to get about 1/4 to 1/2 turn without resetting it , but that was enough to break it free and then unscrew by hand. Definitely worth having in the tool box.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
Perfect tool
If U have no flat(round) tie rod heads. This the perfect tool to break them loose from your rack. Then I used the tie rod tool from harbor freight. Had to buy a 1 3/8" insert online because it didn't come with one. Used moog tie rods on 07 dodge grand caravan sxt.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
This tool worked much better than I ever expected
I used this on a 2008 PT Cruiser with the OEM inner tie rods with no notching. This tool was easy to put on and tighten down. Using a 9" torque bar, it released the rod in one turn. I was fortunate enough to be able to then unscrew it the rest of the way by hand. I bought this online for store pickup and the "HONEY" coupon app found a coupon for $5.50 dollars off, plus tax, I paid $16 and change. For the price even without the coupon, I highly recommend this.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
Great Tool, Great Price
Used this tool on a recent repair. This clamped on the inner tie rod end and easily allowed my 3/8" ratchet to loosen the inner rod for removal. It just wraps around the tie rod and tightens with a 9/16" wrench. This same tool allowed me to use a torque wrench to install it to the factor spec. All-In-All, an easy to use tool at the right price.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
