I had difficulty finding what I needed for changing the manual transmission fluid in my pickup truck. Finding a pump to get the new fluid out of the container and into the transmission is difficult. I came across this unit and figured it would work perfectly. Well the description says that it works great for gallon containers, but there are adapters for quarts and pints. My truck needed 2 quarts of fluid. I insert the adapter into the pump (the pump itself is too wide to fit into a quart container) and started pumping. Not the smoothest functionality, but it was working...until the adapter fell off the bottom of the pump and into the quart container. I had to cut the top off the quart container to get the adapter out, and proceeded to pump the rest of the fluid into the transmission. Same thing happened with the 2nd quart, so there needs to be a way to secure the adapter in the pump. And it should also be noted that, unless you put your vehicle up in the air, there's no way you can get the container and the pump under the vehicle. The hose is 3 feet long which is not enough to reach outside of the vehicle. The one good thing is that the nozzle has a clip on it to keep it from coming out of the fill-hole. But DON'T PUSH IT IN TOO FAR or else you won't be able to get it back out. Not a fan of this item, but it did do what I needed it to do.
