Performance Tool Heavy Duty 30mm 12-Point Axle Nut Socket

Using this site showed this to be the right size for the front spindle nuts on my '05 F150, with 2WD. Before pulling the wheels I checked to see if this was the right size; I was suspicious as I remember reading somewhere it was a difference size. Thankfully I did so, it isn't the correct size for this application; I believe the correct size is actually 36mm. Will be going back for that one! Just thought I'd share this information with you so you don't have to make a second trip. It is a nice heavy socket though, and should last a long time.

This is a shiny black, painted, deep well socket. As far as quality, it certainly leaves something lacking. It feels light and cheap, and does not look like it would hold up to serious auto shop abuse. As an alternative, I'd recommend another retailer (it says not to reference other retailers, so here's a hint: four letter word that starts with "N" and ends with "A"); they carry some oversized, deep well sockets for impact wrenches. They weigh about twice as much as this one and feel like they're built to withstand a lot more abuse.
