The Crankshaft Position Sensor plays a vital role in your engine's operation, to determine the exact position of then engine's crankshaft to the ECM. The ECM then uses this information to determine fuel and spark timing or engine misfire detection. A failed sensor can result in a check engine light, failure to start, intermittent stalling, or misfire.
