The ECM then uses this information to determine fuel and spark timing or engine misfire detection. A failed sensor can result in a check engine light, failure to start, intermittent stalling, or misfire. It works but the wire is shorter
This is a simple fix...if the wire is long enough. This wire is about an inch shorter than the original and it makes ALL the difference. We cursed and scraped our hands and arms trying to make this fit for hours. We eventually did, but it is not anchored using the clip. We actually ended up removing the metal arm holding the clip for the original because it's next to impossible to remove the old part without doing this. And we had to route the new one differently to get it to reach because it was a shorter wire, so using that arm or the clip was out of the question. I'm saying 'Yes, I would recommend' but it comes with this conditional statement. It fixed our issue, so that's a win in my book but my goodness it was a rough time fixing it.
