Comments about Tridon (Novita Tech. Inc) LED Compatible Electronic Flasher:

I used this turn signal flasher as a replacement for the stock turn signal flasher because I had replaced the stock turn signal bulbs with LED's.

So far it has worked great!

It wasen't too bad to install once I found where it was located. I was unable to replace it myself, it required someone with a much smaller hand than mine.

Hi Brad, glad to assist you! This part is located inside under the dash on the left side. You have to drop down the sound protector to locate the flasher. For help with your project, I recommend purchasing a Haynes or Chilton repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.

  • Q:

I have a 99 chevy blazer. Recently without the turn signals on a clicking sound like the one you hear when the blinker is on, is heard under the dash glovebox area. The turn signals and 4 ways work fine. Also when u touch the brake pedal this clicking sound stops then resumes once u leave off the brake. It doesnt do this all the time but i'm trying to figure out what to replace to fix it before it gets worse. I'm thinking the turn signal flasher or relay is going bad? This flasher or relay is located in the glovebox in an access panel isnt it? Thanks

      A:

With reference to this Tridon (Novita Tech. Inc) Electronic Turn Signal Flasher - part# EP29, the turn signal flasher or relay may be the possible cause of the problem on your Chevy Blazer. However, I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem. For any further assistance, you may also visit your nearest Advance Auto store or call us directly at 1-877-ADVANCE (238-2623) and one of our representatives there would be more than happy to assist you.

The turn signal flasher on your 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 should be located behind the drivers side knee bolster(under the steering wheel). It will be a small black box that is about 3 inches wide, 2 inches deep, and 1 inch thick. It may be somewhat difficult to locate because on some of the GM trucks they actually hide it behind the guage cluster bezel but to the left of the guages. For any further assistance, please visit your nearest Advance Auto store or call us directly at 1-877-ADVANCE (238-2623) and one of our representatives there would be more than happy to assist you.

Turn signal lights either work until they blow out or their flashers burn out. The GMC Sierra places the flashers and some fuses in the triangular plate on the end of the dash. Check the turn signal lights for bad bulbs. Replace any bulbs that are bad. Take the cover off the fuse box and locate the fuses that control the turn signal lights. Replace any bad fuses. Find the access panel on the driver's end of the dash. The cover plate is triangular and underneath it are a set of flashers. Behind the fuse block is where the turn signal flashers are located. Identify which flasher is for the turn signals. Touch the surface of the flasher and then turn on the turn signal. Feel for the mechanical click that is made when the flasher blinks. This flasher controls the turn signals. Remove the flasher and replace it with a new one. Reattach the fuse block to the inside of the hole on the end of the dash. Screw the triangular plate back on the end of the dash. Start the truck and check all the turn signal lights. Turn them on and go around the Sierra to make sure that they all light. For any further assistance, please visit your nearest Advance Auto store or call us directly at 1-877-ADVANCE (238-2623) and one of our representatives there would be more than happy to assist you.
