Could you tell me the difference between this plug and the iridium?

      A:

Hi Dan, I'm glad to assist you. With economical performance and improved ignitability over OE Nickel NGK Spark Plugs, V-Power is original equipment manufacturer - and racer-approved. It has lowers ignition system voltage requirements, greater ignitability and performance over. The Iridium spark plugs are designed specifically for the performance enthusiast. It offers extreme ignitability, improved throttle response and superior anti-fouling.

  • Q:

this plug is preset for your application from NGK. gap is set at sweet spot for best condition's of your truck or car. but yes you can change gap if you like it to not run at best and make it less instead, lower gas mileage too.yep go right ahead, but result will be a down turn too. not sure why you would want a plug that runs at its best sweet spot. but heck they only waist money so you could of had the best too. it your doing.

    • A:

I would go for the gap that is stated on engine decal under hood. I found that it works best for my jeep. My Jeep ( liberty 3.7 ) calls for a gap of .40 on engine decal

  • Q:

The gap on these are .044 and the spark plug gap that the JEEP manual call for is .042. Can the gap be adjusted.

    • A:

Gaps are preset. Many plugs have a gap range that will work at the best level. For a example one of the plugs we test, can have a range of .95 to 1.00 mil. So yes that gap is good.

Like for real. They can be. Do you realize the .042 and .044 is only like .002 different. Jeez.
