The blaster 3 coil features an extra tall tower design to improve the coil wire attachment and spark isolation. Supplied with a 90 degree terminal and boot. Provides improved output coil for electronic ignitions, and MSD ignitions (ballast resistor required for points). 100:1 turns ratio and lower primary resistance produce high voltage output. MSD red metal canister is filled with a premium grade oil for cooling.

Cheaper Than OEM
Good product, in most cases cheaper than an OEM replacement. People would have no problems with these if they would read the instructions and realize a resistor is needed for use on a stock ignition system.

My mistake to order wrong ohm's rated coil. ask for RMA to return and order proper coil. Willing to pay shipping, restocking, the whole thing. Yet I have yet to get a RMA. So now I'm stuck with a coil I can't use and will have to go elsewhere to buy the correct coil. Your customer service SUCKS.

Regretably the Blaster 3 coil is not a direct fit for my 76 Ford F100. My coil has mushroom tops that allow the coil connections to slide and snap on. I did not find any mushroom tops within the packaging and I am not going to waste time finding the impossible. I will try to find something that is an improved direct replacement for my coil. I have heard very good things about the Blaster 3 coil but, unfortunately, I cannot confirm any of them. If mushroom tops had been included in this coil or listed as an option to buy I would definitely tried this product.

I bought this to replace my stock coil since i was upgrading my ignition to a MSD Streetfire setup.I wired it and and the hardest thing was putting on the plug terminal but that wasnt to bad after i saw how. Great product and it make my old ram run like a dream. Plus the msd setup makes it take off
