Motorcraft Platinum Spark Plug: Enhances Durability & Reduces Fuel Consumption

I had installed another brand of platinum plugs in a friend's car about 30,000 miles ago. The owner said her car was no longer starting as quickly as it used to and, being familiar with her car, I agreed. I removed all the old plugs from the four cylinder 4AF engine and checked them. They were not fouled and looked ok. I almost put them back in again because they were supposed to be good for 55,000 miles, but at the last minute I decided to buy new plugs and experiment to see if it made a difference in ease of starting. I was amazed at the variety of plugs Advance lists on their web site, pages and pages of them. I tried to find plugs constructed similarly to the ones used previously as I had always been very pleased with those but they no longer seem to be made in that style by that manufacturer. I found plugs made by Motorcraft and the price was less than most of the other platinum plugs listed and I knew Motorcraft to be a reliable brand so I finally decided on those. Yes, the new Motorcraft plugs did make a difference and her car starts instantly now! She is very pleased!

Found that FOUR of the eight new spark plugs purchased had hairline cracks in the white ceramic insulator jackets, had to re-use four of my old plugs as I seriously doubt that the store would exchange them since I had installed the and afterwards found the skip problem on a friends code reader.
