Great filter
This Purolator made Mopar filter is an excellent value and an above average filter, Mopar requires an improved anti-drainback and bypass valve layout that many filters do not have, making this filter an upgrade from the Purolator Classic, which is also a very good filter. If the anti-drainback valve were silicon instead of nitrile, this filter would be perfect. That is usually only a relevant concern in extremely cold environments anyway.

Bought this filter for my 19 Ram Big Horn 1500. 6 days later I noticed I was losing traction driving home in the rain. Come to find out when I get home there's a big oil slick at the curb while it's raining. I look underneath and oil everywhere where the filter is. Start my truck up and drive it up ramps to see what's going on while truck is running and I see a pinhole and oil squirting out like a water pistol. Wasted money and $40 of synthetic oil that's well below the add oil line on dipstick now.

Awesome Mopar Filter
Dude this filter is hella rad . It's so sick I love it . I cant believe how small it is for such a big motor - "that's what she said" wink wink . I would totally recommend this filter for any other motor they made it for ... will buy again in another 5k miles you best baledat !

this is the factory brand of filter & never had problems with them in the past. I feel I should use the same filter that comes with the truck new as the hemi engine gets hot & i need to trust a good filter.

Factory filter. Has good reviews but not what others think is the the best. It is readily available at Advance Auto. It is a good filter and you can't go wrong.

Good product. I've been buying this 05281090 (MO-090) filter since it was first released, for about 18 yrs or so now, with no problem to date. Many different Chrysler-engineered engine applications in many different cars for each of many oil changes. Hard to go wrong with this one. A couple of suggestions that may or may not be of use to some: Watch out to not double-gasket if your previous non-MoPar filter leaves its gasket on the engine's filter mount flange. Careful when dealing with a Chrysler product that has a Mitsubishi-built engine, as most had a very similar BUT NOT the same mounting thread size as this filter requires. Make that mistake and the filter can blow-off. And, no need to go crazy on the tightening.
