WOW what a difference

My 97 Cherooke XJ had vertical movement in the track bar that connects to the frame. Also I would get a popping sound when turning. So I replaced the track bar, and now my steering is nice and tight, and no popping! This is a very high quality part. I had a little hard time getting the new one in the frame connection, a trick I did was to jack up the passenger side of the car only in order for it to line up.
One con is that you need to get an alignment after.

3/4" too long for stock Jeep cherokee/wrangler
This track bar is billed as a stock replacement, but it's 3/4 " longer than the stock track bar for a Cherokee or Wrangler. This means that, unless you raise your suspension 2" - 2 1/2", your entire axle will be off centered by about 3/4 of an inch to the passenger's side. It's off-center just enough to be noticeable, in the springs Do not sit evenly over the bump stops. This is a problem that many people have discussed on the internet, yet I have received no response from multiple attempts to contact the company over the issue.

The stock bar was starting to fail, after a bit of research, this was the best short of a custom built solution.

Jeep Wrangler Death Wobble Fix
Staff Reviewer -
My '04 Jeep Wrangler had a death wobble that got progressively worse. I researched the most common fixes and this was one of them. Along with replacing the steering stabilizer and getting new tires the problem is now solved. I am not a mechanic by anyone's estimation, but I Youtubed the repair and it went exactly as described. Probably an experienced mechanic could have done this job more efficiently. This part was an exact match with no extra hardware needed, it came with everything needed to do the job.
