MOOG TIE ROD is worth the extra money!

[$]Tie Rod Tool Kit is mandatory. The size from stock is usually a different size from the new part.[@]had a STL46800, Advance did not carry one. Advance has better prices especially if you use PROMO CODES A123 & BIG30 to receive 40% Off online and then pick up in the store. This job is difficult and you will get dirty. With the tool, lifting the car up in the air,removing the tire,outer tie rod and the inner tie rod, figure at least an hour per side if all goes well. Measure the inside of the outer tie rod. Mine was 2.25 inches. If you put it all the way on, you'll need to take it off again. You need extra space for the alignment to be done. So, do not screw it all the way in. Pay attention to keeping your steering wheel straight when you tighten everything up. This will make the alignment closer to the fine adjustment. Remeber to add the locktight to the inner tie rod only, where the big nut screws onto the the big tie rod end inside the fender wall. If you don't the tie rod may become loose over time and you'll have tires to replace in addition to the tie rod again!
