Q:I needed heavy duty cargo springs for my car,the springs currently have a free height of 18". Would you have a apir of springs that will do the job,the same way s theones I have currently installed in my vehicle.
A:For further assistance, please provide the year, make, model and engine size of the vehicle in question.
Q:I have a 88 town car... and it's rubbing the edge of the tires when I turn sharp. I had the shocks replaced upper control arm bushings and it still sways into the tire when turning.I don't believe it has any type of air system at all underneath. DO I NEED SPRINGS and can I do this myself or a shop is recommended??? THANKS
A:With out the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer. We would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not solve or be the problem.
Q:how hard is it to replace air bags on 1995 lincoln town car whit these coil springs
A:Well this all depends on the skill level of whoever is removing or replacing the part. Some may have a harder time than others who have experience. I would recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.
Q:Is this a air spring replacement kit or just springs
A:These are just regular coil type springs.
A:These are the front springs and will not replace the rear airbags! AAP needs to be more clear with their descriptions and/or advice. Consult moog for application.
Q:do you need to buy any other bushings or adaptors to replace your air bags with these coil springs?
A:You should be able to use all your old hardware to install the coil springs.
Q:Do these bolt on?
A:no they are a direct replacement for the air ride suspension. they are made to fit in the exact same place with a rubber boot on top and underneath the springs to keep down noise. Don't buy the high priced conversion kits. This is what you get in the kits from Strutmasters,American Suspension, and Suncore. for 1/2 the price
