Seems Like A Good Choice. Priced Comparable To Honda Genuine
In all honesty, the MOOG only made it out of its box for an inspection. I found a workaround for the self-caused issue I had with the OEM Honda ball joint I had used. Still livid over that, but I gotta just let it go. ; ]
I still feel entitled to leave a 4-Star review, because in addition to the fact that a review from any actual user this soon after the purchase isn't likely to be either horrible or particularly helpful, in my aforementioned inspection I encountered a faint 'crunch-pop' that I could feel when checking for the amount of movement the ball joint would show. Air pocket, grease distribution, maybe contamination or a construction flaw? Hmm. I can't say, but the experience made me wonder, and I'm glad I was able to use the comparably priced OEM Honda ball joint I'd planned on using.
The MOOG joint was properly very tough to move in its socket, and the heft was satisfying, so these are likely good performers. However, when I asked for an opinion as I showed it to my friend who used to do most and now does only a little of my repair work, the first thing he said was "Well, they're not made in America anymore." Your call. If I were foregoing OEM, I'd either use this, which in this instance was a crisis-aversion purchase, or I'd use one of the European-made alternatives. I'm just too leery of most Asian-made aftermarket parts that only cost 1/4 or 1/3 of what original replacement equipment does. Too many stories about letdowns, and failures of load-bearing components can be dangerously catastrophic.
I bought this for my 1995 Honda Civic. Interestingly, the new Honda OE ball joint for this application is no longer made to accept a snap ring. Was the original design seen as overkill in the engineering department's eyes? Hmm. The presence of a snap ring with the MOOG part was reassuring, although I trust Honda to know their game and not merely be cheapening their product. ; ]

grease oozed out shortly after driving.
After installation and drive it on the road for 10 miles, left side ball joint with black boot has grease oozed out, right side ball joint with blue boot is ok. Wipe clean grease off left side ball joint and monitored a couple of days later, no more grease coming out.
don't know how long it will last.
