MOOG IS BEST,FORGET THE REST, 4WD CHEVY
I went the cheap route in replacing the upper and lower ball joints on my 1997 4wd two door Tahoe. About 8 months later I was driving and changing lanes when I heard a POW!!! Sounded like I got hit with a golf ball sized rock somewhere in the front passenger side . I pulled over to the shoulder and looked the vehicle over for a rock ding. None found, and baffled I drove on home. Over the course of the next month, I began hearing tale-tale noises coming from the right front when I'd hit a hard bump, like somthing is loose. Visually looking, I could never tell anything was wrong. So, I decided I would change out those ball joints once again. I went with MOOG and Advance carried all 4 in stock. It is no easy feat on a 4wd to change these out so I took my time to complete the job. The ball joint on the lower right was worn out like it had been in there for 10 years. Had my alignment checked and set to factory specs, Perfect!!!! Here is my advice, do it once, do it right. Sure they will cost more, so what.

Replacement for Moog Ball Joint
Second time I've had a failure on a Moog suspension/steering part. I had replaced my upper ball joints on my 1998 Suburban back in 2007. Greased them every year. But the right side failed. Unfortunately, the internet store I bought them from no longer sells them. Federal Mogul refused to honor their lifetime warranty and I had to buy yet another one from Advance.

Great Product

This is a good product. TRW/Moog products are very good in quality. I never had to replace one yet due to quality. They are in 3 of my vehicles and have 40,000 miles on them average.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
Only Trust MOOG
Moog is the best for these kinds of parts. Was impressed with their suspension parts for my GM truck. Spend the extra bucks for these. If removing the orginal ball joint which has rivets, just drill them out.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
