Big improvement in steering
Once I got this part in it made a huge difference in the steering of my 2001 Camaro with 130,000 miles on it. The original showed no indications of needing replacement, but these have my steering so tight and dialed - very pleasant.
Another reviewer noted diameter issues and difficulty installing. I had the same issue - about .020" oversize. I did a little research, it appears that Moog figures you are going to be putting it into a lower control arm that's pretty worn, so they intentionally make it a bit oversize. I found it was easy to deal with thusly: Take a grinding wheel with a diameter larger than 1.25" and uniformly grind off the knurl marks (don't grind past the point they go away, make it uniform, thus the need for a bigger diameter grinder, bench grinder would be ideal). Check with dial calipers as you remove material, then press ball joint in after grinding. You can also grind the ID of your lower control arm, but ask yourself, "Do I really want to lose material in a tension member when I could be losing material in a compression member in the assembly?" Anyway, after that bit of modification, I am delighted with this Moog part.

Too Big For F-Bodys!
Tried to install these in my 2000 camaro - went through 3 sets of lower control arms.After going to 3 machine shops, it has been determined that these will not fit the factory lower control arms. The are.030 bigger than the hole that they are supposed to be pred into. Waste of time and money!

THE QUALITY OF THESE BALL JOINTS IS OBVIOUS. I DRIVE THIS TRUCK EVERY DAY AT EXPRESSWAY SPEEDS AND FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE KNOWING THAT THESE PARTS ARE IN THE FRONT END OF MY TRUCK. WHEN COMPARING TO THE CHEAPER LINE OF PARTS THE DECISION TO BUY MOOG WAS A "NO-BRAINER".
