Excellent auto part! Wish the mechanic who fixed my ball joints before would've used these. Very comfortable and no more suspension squeeks.

There is no question that Moog is a quality part. Next to the factory (which lasted 8 years) ball joint, I will only do this repair once in the life of my truck. The Mechanic that installed the ball joints told me they went on with out any modification,I did the upper and lower. He has installed some after market ball joints that require that. For the reacord the mechanic that did the work is a certified GM Mechanic and has worked for a GM Dealership for 14 years. "Holly cow" you sure pay a premium price, but again, over 8 years it's not alot to pay.

I purchased upper ball joints which were recommended by the Advance Autoparts counterperson. They were less expensive than the Moog brand. When I installed the first one, one of the bolts stripped before it was even tightened. When I tightened the castle nut the cotter pin wouldn't engage. Needless to say, I took it back and bought the more expensive Moog brand. Installation went as it should, no problems with the mounting hardware or the fit. Who wants to do this job more than once? Do yourself a favor and buy the quality brand the first time!
