not strong enough

This was not strong enough for my 2 wd 5.3l ext cab silverado. It was like I didn't change them at all. Swapped out for the Rancho and am completely satisfied

Great Shocks!

Just purchased a set of (4) Monroe Reflex Monotube shocks to replace the worn-out originals on my 2005 Silverado 1500 2wd Reg Cab / Long Box.
This truck is used rather often for towing and hauling.
These shocks were installed today, and I couldn't be happier with them thus far after having test-driven the truck over surfaces driven over just hours before. The performance of these shocks really revealed just how worn the original shocks were.
Installation was a breeze. Shocks have a great appearance.
The ride quality is outstanding, and exactly what I like in a truck. I would describe the ride as "solid but smooth" - not harsh like some truck shocks. Typical expansion joints and minor bumps are dampened & absorbed well. Tires are kept firmly planted, and larger bumps / holes are absorbed very well, preventing bottoming of suspension. Nose dive is well-controlled under heavier braking.
Longevity is the only remaining question.
With that factor pending, I am very happy that I chose these Monroe Reflex Monotube shocks over other options I had considered.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
