Failed after seven (7) months on a 2012 Chevy Cruze
Upper bearing assy on this strut created a popping noise after 6 months of interstate driving, then the driver's side displayed the same failure. After paying my local Chevy dealer to install 272626 and 272627 strut assy's (including a 4 wheel alignment following this installation), I had to pay an additional $300 labor for these items to be replaced, as well as another alignment.
Monroe offers warranty for these items but refused to cover warranty.
I cannot see how two (2) of two (2) units failed within a 6-7 month period, and the dealer installed them as an assy - They were NOT taken apart. You purchase an assembly to save on labor.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
