Mazda 3 strut issue
Staff Reviewer -
These struts went in to the Mazda with no issues except for three top mounting bolts. They are NOT high strength. One broke during installation. The heads on these bolts is not large enough to cover the mounting hole in the spring tower. The washers supplied with the strut are thin fender washers and do not have the stiffness needed to keep them from beint bent and pulled into the mounting holes. That caused the strut to lossen and bang. I took the new bolts out and used the ones from the old struts. The old ones had the size and strength to hold the strut in place properly. I would NOT recoment using the bolts or washers supplied with the struts but use the old ones.

Works like a charm - perfect fit

Taking off a spring/strut combo is not easy! I learned that the hard way. At least the new one was easy to put back on. Something I learned online was to line everything up perfectly and put the tire on and lower the car down, otherwise it will take forever to get the new strut to go all the way in. Even with a spreader. The weight of the car will do it in 2 seconds.

Great ride restored.

for only a little more $, a complete strut is a great value. Plus no need for potential danger of compressing spring to disassemble old strut and put worn parts onto new strut.
I will continue buying products if I receive didcounts
