Quick is Right
First, let me say that I'm not someone who does alot with their car. Change the oil, filters and spark plugs is about all I do on my 2008 Cobalt. But I noticed my handling was going and my tire would chirp taking a turn in town. At 110k miles (25k/year) I needed to do something. I asked some people and they all recommended the monroe quick-strut assembly.
Wow! This was easy. Six bolts per side and the job was done. Save yourself some coin and do it yourself. I saved $300 by installing these assemblies. And that includes the alignment.
I noticed after the installation that the front of my car seemed to sit up just a bit. I was told by some 'wrenchers' to drive it for a few hundred miles and then get the alignment so that the springs can settle.
The car now drives like a dream, no tire chirp, or sloppy handling. Woo-hoo!
Just make sure you have the right tools before you start and have some good penetrating oil to loosen up those tight and rusty bolts!

If you are putting this on your car, you will love the improvement. But it will be short lived. Spent over 400 in struts and shocks. Lasted over a year and a half.
No way to make 50000 miles on these.
