Ran into difficulties
The strut set was not an exact match. The strut contained a bracket to install a suspension link and my car did not have this link. The hole for the brake line bracket also did not fit the factory bolt requiring that I tap out the one on the new strut assembly. The removal of the old strut posed the greatest issue. The bolt that secures the pinch point where the lower section of the strut slides into the support hub sheared when I was removing it. This is despite soaking the bolts with liquid wrench for two days prior to starting this job. This required that I drill out the broken bolt, a very tedious (8hr)task. This happened on both sides of the car. Auto part stores do not carry a replacement bolt. This is not an easy job and I would not recommend it for the occaisional shade tree mechanic.

the product was good however top strutbolts were not properly tightened causing a rattle noise had to remove and tiughten top bolt... other than knowing to check in the future part worked fine

Be sure to use a torque wrench to tighten the upper plate in engine compartment. Anything more and your asking to break these three bolts off. Other than that bit of caution they are a very easy fix to a big problem and an equal time saver. We all know time is $money$

Great replacement parts!
Makes changing struts safer. After reading many Taurus/Sable owners experiencing rear coil spring failures replacing the strut and coil spring at the same time with these quality units makes good sense.
Ride height is restored; road feel is firm but not harsh. Get the AK50 bolts for Taurus/Sable because if you are able to get the old bolts out w/o breaking them the bolt threads will be damaged and shouldn't be reused.
