Was not a Quick strut to install

Mounting holes and welded brackets did not line up properly. had to slot hole to the sprint guard and brake hose bracket to mount correctly.
lousy workmenship and no quality control!

I purchased two of these poor quality control struts, I had to grind the welds at the bottom I order to get the bottom of the strut to go into the mounting hole. The clip that slides into the retaining slot is cheap, It bent and I had to straighten the bracket out a few times. There is a hole in the same clip or bracket that is for a ten millimeter bolt to screw into that was the wrong size hole that I had to find a nut and bolt to hold the break line bracket with. I strut didn't have any mounting hardware and had to reuse the old hardware. I will never buy Monroe products again.
I would search around more before buying this.

After getting the struts in my vehicle rides good but this is no way an exact fir. The welds on the bottom are horrible you may have to file to get the strut in the knuckle. Also the originals are tapered at the bottom as to make it easy to slide the strut in place the quick strut is not! Make sure you have a air hammer with a round flat bit to get the strut to go down.
Easy and quick to install

My son-in-law used this product to replace a broken spring on my car and decided it was easier to install the entire strut kit instead of trying to replace just the spring. He installed new strut kits on both sides and it was well worth it. They were installed in less than an hour and resulted in a very improved ride overall.

3 of 7 defective

Put these on two cars. To date, I have purchased 7. I am about to return my 3rd. Once installed, 3 of them had incurable popping noise. I removed, replaced, and it went away. Internet blogs show this as a common issue with these "quick" struts. Avoid.
