I opted for this complete unit over the strut by itself. It saved a lot of time and the headache of compressing the coil spring which can be very dangerous if you are only doing it once in a while. It took 1 1/2 hours to do both fronts on a 2005 Ford Escape from start to finish. I watched a YouTube video so I knew the procedure. It costs a bit more than purchasing the strut and new rubber insulators for the coils but definitely worth the extra $$$ for not having to deal with spring compressors...Been there, done that...not fun! This is the way to go!!

Easy Install
Bought this Quick Strut Kit during the Monroe rebate promo. Definitely worth the extra money and the rebate helped. Very easy to install and so far so good. The ride has improved but it's too soon to tell on the quality the part but I would guess there won't be any issues.
FYI- I would change the sway bar links at the same time.
