good product

I found this product to be a practical, relatively inexpensive option to paying a mechanic to repair my truck. I discovered that the coil spring was broken when I was working on the lower ball joint and rather than remove and disassemble the spring and shock unit it made more sense to buy a complete unit and replace it. Not only did it provide a brand new spring, but the shock too. If you are going to go through all the trouble of removing the strut/shock assembly only to put a new spring on an old shock why not replace the whole unit as one and not risk getting hurt compressing the spring? It is comforting to know that all the parts are new.

Overall good product

Strut and spring quality is good. Assembly was not great, I had a rattle after install and it turns out the top strut bolt was toqued to spec. This would have been easier to correct before the strut was installed. But overall, good product with easy install.

This is another great addition to Monroe
Great product that I would recommend to anyone. The quick strut is what it is a quick replacement of your old or worn struts. but delivers a more comfortable ride for me and I have a New body style 2004 F150 4X4 with 22" rims and it drives better than when I first brought it with the factory rim and tires. All I can say is if you purchase this product, you will not be upset.

Riding much better with the new struts!

Put these on my 4x4 Ford Crew Cab. My old ones were getting dangerous on the swelled expansion joints and I broke down and bought a full set for my truck. (shocks on back, struts on front) Turns out I had a broken spring that couldn't be seen until the old one was taken off. I soaked the nuts of the old ones overnight with silicone oil to make them much easier to remove.

installed these on a 2008 f-150.had to disconnect upper ball joint to r@r. everything lined up great and truck was back to oem ride heighth and handling.original problem was a broken coil spring on the left front strut so i replaced both fronts.fyi upper ball joint nuts should be taken off, sprayed with penetrating oil and threaded back on a couple of times before disconnecting ball joint...nut is hard to get off when you loose the anchoring from the spindle . also have a helper to hold up upper control arm so strut can be lifted out so as not to damaged cv joint boot
